Travel east to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s premier savannah-woodland mosaic. This park is ideal for walking safaris, allowing intimate encounters with savannah birds and wildlife. Early morning walks focus on species like the Brown-chested Lapwing, African Pygmy Kingfisher, and Black-headed Gonolek.
A mid-morning boat ride on Lake Mburo offers additional birding opportunities for waterbirds, herons, storks, and African Fish Eagle. Afternoon game drive explores savannah plains for zebra, impala, warthog, and topi, while birding along the way highlights long-legged waders and open-country species.
