Golden Monkey Habituation Experience

You will depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, located in the southwestern corner of Uganda. This 3-hour drive takes you through lush forests and scenic landscapes, with occasional glimpses of the Virunga Volcanoes towering over the region.

Mgahinga is home to the rare golden monkeys, which are found only in the high-altitude forests of the Virunga Mountains. These playful, golden-colored primates are a delight to watch as they leap through the treetops or forage for food on the forest floor. Return to Kampala or Entebbe

After an early breakfast at your lodge, it’s time to depart Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. The return drive takes about 8-9 hours, depending on your destination, offering the last scenic views of Uganda’s landscapes.

If you prefer a quicker, more comfortable transfer, you can opt for a fly-in option, which offers a charter flight from Kisoro (near Mgahinga) to Entebbe or Kampala, saving time and providing an aerial view of Uganda’s breathtaking terrain.
