Day 2: Adventure at the Iconic Giraffe Manor – Overnight at Giraffe Manor

After a hearty breakfast at the Fairview Hotel, you’ll embark on a short drive to Giraffe Manor, an exclusive boutique hotel renowned for its resident herd of endangered Rothschild giraffes. Day 3: Flight to Uganda and Shoebill Tracking at Mabamba – Overnight at Papyrus Guest House

Following breakfast at Giraffe Manor, you’ll transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your scheduled flight to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda. Upon arrival, our local Deks Safaris & Tours team will meet and greet you before driving you to the nearby Mabamba Swamp, one of Uganda’s top birding destinations. Mabamba is renowned for its population of the elusive shoebill stork, a prehistoric-looking bird found in the papyrus swamps.

You’ll embark on a canoe expedition guided by expert local birders who will help you spot the shoebill and other fascinating bird species such as papyrus gonoleks, African pygmy geese, and malachite kingfishers.
