Detailed 7 Days Kenya Family Vacation Safari

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli National Park

You will be picked up by our Kenya safari representative upon arrival at your hotel facility in Nairobi and be transferred to Wilson Airport to board your scheduled flight to Amboseli Game Reserve. Prior to the flight, you will be served breakfast at the hotel and our professional tour guide will offer you a short briefing about the whole expedition.

You will be warmly ushered in at the airstrip on arrival by the professional tour guide assigned to you and with a short game drive on the way; you will be transferred to Amboseli Serena Lodge for check-in.

You will be served with your lunch, have some time to relax and in the afternoon you will proceed to go for a game drive which will allow you to see a vast range of wild games and as well get some cool memorable snaps. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as you wait for more wonders to unfold the following day!

Day 2 of 7 Days Kenya Family Vacation Safari: Early start – Full day activities – game drive and Culture – Amboseli

This day will require you to wake up a bit early as you have a lot of adventure ahead of you that you are yet to experience. You will be served with an early breakfast and then you will set off to enjoy game drives in this magnificent park located at the foothills of mountain Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain with a magnificent snow-capped peak.

Amboseli national park comprises a grove of acacia trees and golden savanna plains. Close by is a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the snowmelt of Kilimanjaro, providing sources of water to huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos, and plenty of plains game.

Kenya Wildlife Safari

Day 3 of 7 Days Kenya Family Vacation Safari: Early morning start – transfer to Samburu National Reserve

This day will kick off with a light morning breakfast, have a relaxed game drive on the way to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi. At Wilson Airport, connect on another scheduled flight to Samburu Game Reserve in the Northern Frontier District.

Your lunch will be at Ashnil Samburu Camp which is set in a rugged landscape against a backdrop of jagged mountains, offering natural scenery of mountains and a meandering river.

You will then proceed to have an afternoon game drive which is worth an adventure that is soul-healing and breathtaking! All along, you will be capturing some cool pictures and scenery in the park as you drive through. You will then return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 of 7 Days Kenya Family Vacation Safari: Early start – Samburu – Full day game activities – overnight

This is also another day to exhaust Africa’s beauty all wrapped up in Kenya. You will be served with your morning breakfast and then dedicate the rest of the whole day to enjoying the game drives in Samburu Game Reserve. This park happens to be home to big herds of elephants that can easily be spotted in the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of this magnificent park.

Other wildlife to be seen here include Samburu Ostrich, gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, and the reticulated giraffe. You will wind up your day with dinner and overnight at the camp and prepare to meet more of Africa’s wilderness the following day!

You will arrive in time for just another game drive as you are transferred to IlKeliani Camp located in a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere on the banks of the Talek River. While here, you will be able to enjoy the peaceful and serene environment in this mighty part of the park.

On a beautiful morning, this day you will enjoy full medleys of nature in the game. A peaceful drive with packed picnic lunch in Maasai Mara Game Reserve brings you to a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River.

Located in the Southwest of Kenya, Maasai Mara is a world-famous park for its 580 square miles of land where over 95 kinds of mammals and 570 types of birds live and is renowned for its huge population of lions.

The reserve is home to all the “Big 5” land animals and supports the highest density of wildlife to be seen anywhere. You will then return after a whole day expedition for dinner and an overnight stay at the Camp.
