This is a large sub-Saharan African bovine that is found in Eastern and Southern Africa. It looks huge but can run and chase as well. African buffalo are very large and characterized by their stocky build and heavy horns. The best time of viewing wildlife in Uganda is usually during the dry season which is from December to March and again from May to September.
